Race the USA – Virtual 5k Race in Plano, TX

The city of Plano is part of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metropolitan Area and is a preferred location for many corporate’s headquarters like Frito-Lay and J. C. Penny. As a fast developing city, it is host to many Public parks such as Arbor Hills Nature Preserve and Oak Point Park and Nature Preserve (OPPNP), with vast tree covers. Don’t miss out on the popular annual Plano Balloon Festival held in the OPPNP. There are also a plethora of other community and neighborhood parks, preserves and recreation centers. One can start with the popular Oak Point Park that has a lot of tree cover, providing seclusion aside from just shade. The park has maps and simple navigation markings making it easy for runners to run their way through its many trails. One can take the Rowlett Creek Trail loop that turns around at Willow Springs Trail on the West to reconnect to Rowlett Creek Trail. Next, the Arbor Hills Preserve is a prime location for people who fancy either paved or unpaved dirt trails. With most of the natural surroundings left undisturbed, runners can take in the peaceful vibe of this expansive preserve. Trails like the Arbor Hills Loop, Outer Loop trail and the Tower trail here consist of both winding Forest sections and also open grasslands. The landscapes are sure to keep you entertained on your long runs! If you are looking for smooth flat Preserve Plano running, then the Spring Creek Preserve running along Spring Creek is the one for you. With its limestone cliffs, meadows and rich bird life, the scenic ambiance is a great boost to your runs. Finally, there are other trails like the Connemara Nature Preserve that are located away from the buzz of the city for those looking for some solitude as well.

For those that want to stay appraised of training programs and group runs, it is best to join clubs like the Plano Pacers and the Plano running club that organize events regularly to help keep you appraised and fit. How to Complete – Race the USA – 5k Race in Texas:

In short it’s quite simple.  Basically you will sign up for your race just like any other race.  Only differences is you will choose the state you plan to complete your distance in.  Also when reporting your finishing results make sure you also choose the state you finished in.  Once complete we will send out your State themed finisher medal!
