How does the May the 4th Run Walk Challenge Work?

The May the 4th Challenge is a virtual running or walking event where participants can first choose either the 4 mile, the 10 mile or the both distances to complete the Double Challenge for a total of 14 Miles.   Once the distance is chosen and registered for the participant can then choose the location and time to complete.  This challenge does not need to be completed all in one attempt.  The mileage can be broken down into manageable segments until completed.

When do I receive my swag?

Race packets for the May the 4th Challenge will begin shipping the week of April 12th 2021.

Is there a designated event hashtag for the May the 4th Run Walk Challenge?

There most definitely is! Use the #Maythe4thMileRun, #XMarksRun, or #Maythe4thDoubleChallenge hashtag on your social media posts. Feel free to also tag us @virtualrunchallenge .

Is there an official Facebook Page or Group for the event?

Yes, we actually have an official Facebook Group as well as our Strava Club you can join.  Both, are great ways to connect with other participants as well as find motivation and support.

Where can I log my daily activity?

The best way to keep track of your activities is to find a calendar and write down what the activity mileage is each day. Fitness apps like Apple Health and wearables like Fitbit, Garmin, and Suunto watches are also a great way to track your daily mileage. Officially you can submit your activity miles via your Haku account.  Don’t forget to share with us through social media what you are doing to stay active!
